Well, Aristaeus has done it again. He's a mead brewer here in the upcountry of South Carolina, and the dude can brew some mead. He can do the cloyingly sweet stuff, but he tends to put out a dry, subtle, well-spiced product. This is his recipe blog. And here is his recipe for cyser, which is an apple juice mead. Dude buys honey locally, and he bought the cider for this recipe at a local u-pick-em place.
I've never tried mead. How is it best enjoyed?
ReplyDeleteDepends on the mead. Most of the stuff you'll find in shops in the sweet/spicy stuff for Christmas or whatever.
