Reverse Sexism In Scientist Kerfuffle

This neanderthal has long hairs growing out of his nostrils.

Oh sexy scientist babes, turn me on with your sweetly ironic takedown of chauvinism and rape culture! Give me dem girls! girls! girls! Make a video for me, I love to see you work that hazmat suit.

Tim Hunt, a Nobel-winning scientist, recently did a stupid thing. He made a joke about women. He has since resigned from his high and mighty position in a mage's high tower because such jokes ruin the spells we've woven around our society. Magical science illusions are a fragile thing, and irresponsibility amongst mages and scientists will not be tolerated.

His words were as follows: “Let me tell you about my trouble with girls. Three things happen when they are in the lab. You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you, and when you criticise them, they cry.” The actually sexist and patronizing part, calling women with PhDs "girls", has caused no kerfuffle at all, because everyone engages in that bit of careless condescension, even women.

The loving and crying bit is what has caused chaos and consternation. And in reacting to Hunt's words, some feminists doubled down on the sexism. Hard. As laid out in the video below.
