Fighter Pilot Who Flew Under Eiffel Tower Was A Pipe Smoker

William Overstreet Jr. has died aged 92 in Virginia. He famously flew under the Eiffel Tower in the spring of 1944 (before D-Day) in pursuit of a German Me-109, which he shot down.

Of course, he was a pipe smoker.
