Beer-Flavored Jelly Beans

It's not an India Pale Ale White-Chocolate Covered Caramel, but it is impressive. And it has the power of all modern chemistry behind it: good ol' Jelly Belly has launched a jelly bean flavor "inspired by German hefeweizen".
Beer is a flavor that consumers had requested for decades, the company said. According to a release, the jelly beans have an “effervescent and crisp flavor .... Beer connoisseurs will find the flavor profile to be clean with notes of wheat and a touch of sweetness. The aroma is mildly bready.”
According to the L.A. Times, the aroma goes beyond bready into the smell of fermentation, which might be a negative. But it apparently really tastes like a sweet wheat ale. Which is amazing and I will buy some.

Oh, by the way...

They're also launching chocolate-covered tabasco jelly beans.
