Ave Atque Vale: A Poem on Meeting a Friend at a Bar After Work

It's been a long while since I posted a poem of my own. Enjoy.

Ave Atque Vale
(I meet a friend after work)

Hail fellow, most well met,
I slap thee on the back and shoulder.
Here's ale bowls for thee to wet
Thy throat and whistle before th'art older.
Long hast labored, and hast sweat;
Drink thou this beer, it gets no colder.
Then get thee hence, all free from debt,
Thy kids to kiss, thy wife to hold her.
