Those of you who know me know how happy I am about The Mountain Goats' (John Darnielle) latest album, The Life of the World To Come.
Every track is titled after a Bible verse, having a more or less obvious connection to the verse. Well worth buying, people. My favorite track is Psalm 40:2..."Lord, send me a mechanic, if I'm not beyond repair..."
Here's a Tiny Desk Concert from NPR. Psalm 40:2 is the third track, starting at 6:45, but the whole thing is worth watching, Darnielle has an amazing energy.
