Man, I've got to say that I've got my girl well trained. Say she has a request that I must deny, even though she is the apple of the ol' eye. "May I have another banana?", she might ask. If I say no, she will almost inevitable ask the question of two-to-three year olds: "Why?"
Her training has proceeded to where I can simply say "Because..." and leave it at that.
Because Renata will pick up the refrain at that point. Grinning a big grin, jumping up and flinging her arms outward, she'll yell, "Because you said so!!"
