I've found the perfect Christmas gift. Matthew Clark, a teacher at Veritas Academy at Lancaster, PA (a school of some repute in "classical" circles), whose website is excellent, now has an online store.
Here's a painting by Eugène Delacroix, entitled Dante & Virgil in Hell.
Here's a painting by Matthew Clark, inspired by Delacroix and Clark's own twisted mind, and informed by Hieronymus Bosch: Picasso in Hell.
Now that (to me) is one satisfying piece of work by Mr. Clark. The original might even still be available. But you know what the best part is?
