From My Family To Yours

Here's my Christmas present to all the boys and girls who read The High Post (fun, really, only for those who have cable connections). All of these songs were posted here during the past year (sadly, these are only the mp3 links; the m3u and purevolume stuff had to be left behind to be taken prisoner). This will be like getting a mix CD, but I don't have to do that much work, and you don't have to wait for it to come in the mail. Yay!

Your Christmas Present (The High Post Mix)

1. A Voice at the End of the Line, M. Ward

2. Drink To Me, Babe, Then, A.C. Newman

3. Renee, Isaac Wardell

4. The Golden Vanity, Mary Smith

5. The Chemical Worker's Song (Process Man), Great Big Sea (fragment)

6. Ferryland Sealer, Great Big Sea (fragment)

7. The Great Atomic Power, Urban Hillbilly Quartet

The first part sounds as if I walk around wearing a Pabst Blue Ribbon trucker's hat and a too-tight "Minnetonka County Fair" t-shirt, with a canvas bag slung below my hip. Please don't think that of me. But do dig the tunes.

Also, for those of you looking for more Christmas score, as of noon today my father had not given away his free December print. Go grab it! Click on the pic below for your chance to win, win, win.

Floating Leaves, Joffre Swait Jr. (Joffre's dad)
