The Wall Street Journal has a wonderful piece on the just-finished elections in Afghanistan and Australia. Australia showed itself to be no Spain, and I suspect we'll hear in the press very little about Australia for a while, although there was a lot of noise about the Howard government's being in trouble with the Australian people.
