Planes to Pakistan

Well, looks like Pakistan will be getting some Falcons from the U.S. government. The U.S. calls it a sale, the Pakistanis call it "giving." The Pakistani government lost their chance for free F-16s a few years ago because of their nuclear experimentation. Now, because of their new (three-year old) strategic relevance and their willingness to play ball with us (even if they threaten to take the ball home half the time), they have new Falcons on the way. And nuclear capability.

Musharaf: the Ataturk of Pakistan.
