If I speak of the Church, as in "I believe in the holy catholic church, in the communion of saints..." etc., I call the Church "she."
If I speak of the Roman church, I also speak of a "she."
But when writing of the evangelical church, the pronoun that came most naturally was "it."
A loose affiliation of millionaires, and billionaires, and baby, these are the days of miracle and wonder...
